Creating Money Harmony
How are you living your life right now? Are you adding real value to your life by living your truth, by being authentic i.e. Being the real you?
These days, because so many people are afraid to be there authentic self, it is rare to meet people who are truly in love with their life. Most people you meet aren't happy with either who they are or the life they are living. They feel that they are not rich enough; they don't have the body they want; they don't have the job they want; or the success and money they believe they deserve and so they are unhappy and dissatisfied. How does this happen? It happens because most people are living outside of their values. Deep down inside they know what is most important to them but they allow life to get in the way and tell themselves that they have to behave contrary to their values in order to cope with their current circumstances.
For example, people say that they want to spend more time with their family and then they spend every waking hour at work. They say they want to have a fantastic body and great health and then they fill themselves with poor quality food and make poor nutritional choices. They say they value the truth and they tell anything from great whoppers to "harmless white lies". They say they value financial security, financial freedom and financial independence and they are out of rapport with money and are precarious with their financial management. Are you one of the people who say they value all these things but is doing other stuff?
Many people believe that everything will come right and they will be happy if only they had more money. They believe this because of their money history. Money has taken the place of hope in their lives and in some cases of their faith or God. The most unrealistic thing to believe is that money will make you happy. The truth is that it is not possible to earn your way to happiness or financial freedom. To believe that if you make more money you would be happy is to believe that money in itself has power and energy. Yet we know from our experience that it doesn't work this way. Wealth is not defined in monetary terms but by knowing your top 3 to 5 values and living them wholeheartedly.
The key to a successful fulfilled life is to be able to say that you are being the best person you can be every day. Each day you become a little kinder, a little more loving, a little more giving, a little healthier, a little wealthier; by bringing all of yourself to everything you do every day. This is more than just bringing your effort. It also includes bringing your integrity, your honesty, your intellect, your ability to get cooperation from the people who you need to work with and to acquire the resources you need to employ.
Living contrary to your values takes you out of harmony. Whatever you want in your life, to have more money, to have a better body, to be happier, to have a better job, to have a great home, whatever you want in your life the key to manifesting it is twofold. The first is to create money harmony and the second is to create personal harmony.
The following exercise will help you to take the first steps to bring more money harmony back into your life by allowing yourself to be comfortable with the idea of having financial independence.
Imagine that you have won the lottery. Now record your answers to the following questions:
1. How much money exactly did you win write down the number?
2. How does it feel to possess all this money?
3. Now that you have all the money you’ll ever need how much you plan to live on each month?
4. Are you going to tell everybody about your win or keep it a secret?
5. If you're going to keep it a secret, what is your reason for making this choice?
6. If you're going to tell everybody, what is your reason for making this choice?
7. How you going to spend the rest of your life, i.e. now that you are financially free what are you going to do with your money and your time? Write a plan for the next three years. Make it specific and clearly identify each step that you need to take.
8. What elements of your plan are central to your happiness?
Now that you have written a plan for your wealth, extract those aspects which are not dependent on winning the lottery. Write these on a separate piece of paper and spent some time each day in quiet reflection meditating on how you intend to manifest these in your life. Trust that your intention and attention will manifest the things you have identified in your life.
