A marvellous day
Today has been one of those marvellous days where everything has gone... well... Just fantastic! I woke up feeling really empowered, like I had suddenly been given and extra jolt of confidence and inspiration. I could tell it was one of those days where, as a friend of mine used to put it "you're on your branch" or was it "in your tree?" anyway today was definitely a power day.
I was due to lead a workshop at the city business library on how to become a Tycoon Woman. I had no idea how many people had books because bookings are done by the library however; I decided I'd be content if at least 10 people showed up. I was just about to leave when there was a knock at the door and there stood an older white lady holding a shoebox. She didn't have to say anything. I knew that the box contained our missing tortoise and sure enough Shelley had returned. She looked a bit like a lost French legionnaire who had trekked across the Moroccan desert, but apart from that she was intact. What a result! We were convinced that we'd never see her again. She had been missing for four weeks. The day was getting better by the minute.
I arrived to deliver my workshop with ample time to spare and to be told that not only was it fully booked, several people had turned up on the off chance that someone would be a no-show. What more could I ask for – nothing, but I also got a fabulous audience who gave great feedback.
It's great when life hands you a marvellous day. Whilst it is possible to treat each day as having the potential to be amazing; the reality is that some days it's more difficult to see the potential and/or the blessings than others. So when the universe makes it a no-brainer ...enjoy!
